Julia's Fabulous Flapjacks

The best flapjacks Julia ever made!


  1. Pre-heat oven to 180° C top/bottom heat
  2.  Mix all dry ingredients
  3. Melt butter, syrup and sugar in pot - do not let boil!
  4. Add butter mix to dry ingredients and mix well
  5. Press into greased baking try and flatten with spoon
  6. Bake for approx. 30 mins until golden brown
  7. Take from oven, cut, let cool completely before taking from tray


Tip: change the dried fruits, nuts and seeds to suit your own personal taste and so create a different flapjack every time!


500g Ballybrado Organic Standard Oatflakes

230g butter

250g syrup

50g sugar

200g dried fruit, chopped

200g nuts and seeds, including 10g desiccated coconut
